Producer Seven Lions has been bending rules and blowing minds since day one. After winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012 with his dubstep take on Above & Beyond’s “You Got to Go,” he didn’t just catch a break—he started a musical rebellion. Born Jeff Montalvo, this beat wizard has gotten nods from Anjunabeats, Casablanca Records, OWSLA, and more. Fast forward nine years, and his empire keeps growing with Ophelia Records, the melodic bass label that’s basically a hit factory. From anthems like “First Time” with SLANDER and Dabin to “Another Me” with Excision and Wooli, Seven Lions is the Pied Piper of melodic bass, leading the scene with bangers that make other labels wonder if they should just give up and go home.
